Kevin Verpaele

There are so many ways in which Kevin Verpaele’s family-oriented approach to life and business has paid dividends, it is clear in every aspect of his life. For example, his oldest daughter, for whom he used to break up football practice to pick her up from day care is now a sophomore who is ensconced on the Dean’s List at the University of Alabama. Likewise, another daughter plays soccer as a freshman at Cocoa Beach High School, as well as club soccer for Orlando City.

In all, Kevin Verpaele has five children, and every child who is old enough has been quite successful so far. Kevin has no doubt the younger ones will also be successful in life. He then went to the University of South Florida a football scholarship, where he was a starting safety and he was named captain in his senior year. What is more impressive is that he accomplished everything while also raising a child with his beautiful wife. In fact, his sense of family was clear when he made a deal with the coach to interrupt football practice to pick up his daughter from day care. He would wear his full uniform and return to practice immediately after.

Kevin Verpaele was technically born in Elmhurst, Illinois, he thinks of Florida as his home. He grew up in Merritt Island, Florida and graduated from Merritt Island High School way back in 1999. These days, he runs Critter Ridders Pest Control in Brevard County, a business he recently took over. Critter Ridders offers a wide range of pest prevention and remediation services to residential and commercial properties throughout the county, all at affordable prices.

It is perhaps a testament to Kevin Verpaele‘s sense of personal and family responsibility that, while he was playing football for the University of South Florida, he was ready, willing and able to leave football practice, in uniform, to pick up his daughter from day care before it closed for the day, and then returned to finish practice. Not only was he a starting safety, but he was even named captain of the football team in his senior year, certainly a great honor. He attended the University of South Florida on a football scholarship, but he was also married and raising a child with his wife at the same time. That makes clear his sense that family is extremely important, in balance with everything else in life.

Though Kevin Verpaele was actually born in Elmhurst, Illinois, the fact of the matter is, he has lived most of his life in various parts of Florida. He actually grew up in Merritt Island, Florida and graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1999. That is when he went on to the University of South Florida. Following graduation from college, the family moved into a home in Melbourne, in Brevard County. Over the past 15 years or so, Kevin Verpaele has managed to compile an impressive record of work experience. For example, right after college, Kevin Verpaele worked on the Space Lift Range Systems at Patrick Air Force Base as a configuration manager.
